This rather dingy snapshot would hardly be considered fine portraiture.  But at the hands of Lee Harris, it became a masterpiece.  There is very little of the original photo, here.  The background was completely painted from scratch to evoke the elegance that the subject deserved.  As a painting it's certainly worthy of hanging on a wall in a place of honor.  It will undoubtedly be a family treasure for generations to come.
