Mary Jill is already an accomplished artist. She graduated with a BS in art in 1981. After working for more than a decade in the graphics art field, she made the move to fine art and art education.

She's a watercolor instructor at North Central Michigan College and arts instructor at the Crooked Tree Arts Center. In the past, she also taught at the Vivace School of Music and Art.

She exhibits widely and is represented by several galleries. While painting on canvas is not unfamiliar to her, the strong influence of her watercolor background can clearly be seen in her paintings

Mary Jill completed the TruPaint™ Artist Training Course in June of 2006.

She specializes in portraits and commissioned paintings throughout the Great Lakes Region.
