TESTIMONIALS
"
By now you seem like a dear friend or family that I see daily.  Only difference is I am enjoying the time soooo much more!  I cannot remember the last time I was so totally STOKED about anything.  Please add me to the ones who feel Providently guided to your door.  I cannot find words to express my gratitude!"
Your biggest fan,
Shirlene Hicks

"I love love love my paintings!  I'm so thrilled with them! So thrilled I'm just bursting at the seams with pride. Before this I could never draw and TruPaint has opened up doors I never thought would be there for me."
Marie Corral

"Once again, I wanted to thank you for your help and let you know that the videos are worth every penny. As an already established artist, I didn't need this system to teach me how to paint or draw, or to do anything I could not already do very well myself. What this system does is allow me to do what I already know how to do so rapidly that I can charge affordable prices and still turn out excellent work. It will allow me to make money on volume, and to not waste time." Misty Beauchamp

"One word says it all. "WOW"!! The TruPaint class was a career changing experience. I have been a part-time artist for the past 15 years, but now I have all the training & knowledge to take it to the next level, and make it my full time career. Thanks Jerry you were great."
Sam Kelloway

“I don't know where to start!   "Thanks" seems pretty mild for what I think was a life changing event for me. I think you said that would happen.  The TruPaint process is like a magic key to open creative doors.  I am not the laziest artist, I'm the most impatient.  The speed of the process allows me to explore a dozen ideas in hours rather than days.  I love it.”

This is a reprint of a letter that was sent to me by Jennifer Calloway of Raleigh, NC.  While she is one individual, I thought you would profit from this letter, since it embodies a lot of the comments I get from my students.  And it obviously should be of interest to anyone contemplating using TruPaint™, but who is reluctant to use a computer in the creation of their artwork.

Return to the Art Course Page

Jerry,

When I told my family and friends (including the ladies in my art group) that I was going to learn how to paint using a computer, they all laughed.  I mean right out loud.  They said it would look cheesy and horrible and my reputation would be ruined.  Boy, did they get a shock!!!

And, when I told them the price of your TruPaint course, they nearly choked.  “Are you nuts?  Have you lost your mind?”  “What are you thinking about?”  Those were actually some of the milder questions they hurled at me.  My dad’s comments are not even printable.

Their reaction was so strong, and so negative it bordered on harassment.  And to be honest, they nearly talked me out of participating.  I don’t know why, but I just couldn’t get my mind away from the possibilities that you explained in the video lesson that you sent to me.  If it was even remotely as good as what I saw on it, I knew that it could be the answer I was looking for.

Let me explain.  I’ve been an artist for all of my life.  Since I was little girl, I loved to draw and paint.  I wanted to do it for a career, but life – and 3 children – intervened and I became mostly a mom.  That’s not a role I regret.  It’s just a choice I made.  Now my kids are nearly grown.  One is on his own.  (Mostly, anyway.  Ha.)  The other two are in high school and have their own lives with their own friends.

Consequently, over the last few years, I had the opportunity to exercise my passion for art and resume painting.  I gave away an awful lot of my work to family and friends.  They were all very appreciative and felt that I could certainly make a career out of it, but I pretty much struck out as far as selling it to the general public.  Oh, I sold a few of my works, but by the time I added up all my expenses and looked at the final profit, I was making something like $5 per hour.  I can’t begin to tell you how frustrating this was.  To make matters worse, I lost confidence in what I was doing.  I doubted myself and my abilities.  Really depressing.

Then you came along.  I was searching the Internet looking for answers to this dilemma when I saw a link to your site.  It said something about earning a 6-figure income and that certainly caught my interest.  Then I thought, yeah right, like that’s going to happen!  I guess I’m skeptical like most people and figured this to be a lame come on.  But the more I read, the more intrigued I became.  When I saw your offer for the introductory lesson, I knew I had to see if this was for real.  Frankly, I don’t care that much about making a huge income from this.  I just want to feel like I’m successful at it and that I can generate enough money to give me the freedom to do some of the things I’ve always wanted to do, but never had the extra cash for.

Well, as you know by now, I bought your course and have become totally hooked on painting with TruPaint.  Yes, I had a learning curve and there were a couple of times I wondered if I was going to get the hang of it.  But boy, once I got it I couldn’t stop painting.  My work is better than ever and I’m starting to really speed up on it.

So back to my laughing friends and family.  The very first painting that I created was the one of Rebecca.  I was careful not to show this to anyone until I was totally complete with it.  I knew that it could be something special, but I wanted it to look as good as the ones in your studio before showing it to them.

I have to tell you, this absolutely stopped them all dead in their tracks.  They sure weren’t laughing now.  They couldn’t believe that painting on a computer could create something so totally, well. . .painted.  My artist buddies, in particular, pored over every inch of it.  They were stunned at the level of quality and the details that made this come alive.  Even feeling it with their fingers they couldn’t tell it wasn’t painted in the usual manner.

The real acid test was my father.  He knows artwork and has always been my biggest critic.  Even when I sent him JPG images of this, he wouldn’t budge and said it still didn’t look like the real deal.  Then I made a trip home and showed him the actual painting and he changed his tune.  He was speechless, but finally admitted that it was the best work I had ever done and, most importantly of all, it didn’t look one bit like it was created in a computer.  I can’t even begin to tell you how much his approval meant to me.  It’s a moment I’ll cherish for the rest of my life.  I was so proud, I nearly cried.

Now here’s the really good part.  As I write this letter to you, I have just sold a portrait for $800.  You always emphasized that I should never sell my work for less than $100 per hour, and this will exceed that.  I almost choked when I gave her the price.  I mean, I’ve never sold anything for that much, before, and I was afraid she would flip.  But she didn’t even bat an eyelash and thought it to be very reasonable.  It was the easiest sale I ever made.

Thanks to you, I’m now staring at the very real possibility of seeing my dream of a professional art career becoming a reality.  My confidence has been totally restored and I’m painting like never before.  In both quality and quantity.  I’m loving every minute of this and I owe it all to you.  If you hadn’t created this course and been willing to share your hard earned knowledge, I don’t know where I would be.  In a deep funk, I suppose.  Anyway, I want to express my profound gratitude.  Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

If there’s ever anything I can do to repay you, please let me know.  I’ll gladly help out with anything you asked for.

Sincerely,

Jennifer
