Desert Flight

This scene of a racing aircraft is not complete.  The plane, clouds, mountains, and sky are done.  But the desert floor still needs work to make the vegetation look real.  Jerry Anderson, who specializes in this kind of art, painted this in class while I was teaching.  It took him less than an hour.  Completing it probably added another 20 minutes, or so, to the total painting time.
